Golf Scholarship Opportunities in NCAA, NAIA, & NJCAA

Over 1,200 NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA Colleges and Universities sponsor golf programs in the US and Canada. We'll help you find the one that fits you.

Exploring the possibility of playing golf at a US College or University? You've come to the right place. Advantage Athletic Recruiting Services helps Canadian athletes create in-depth, professional athletic profiles and assists them in getting the required exposure to college golf coaches throughout the United States and Canada.

To be sure that the athletic recruiting process goes as smoothly as possible, it's extremely important to get the process started early. Advantage Athletic recommends consultations as early as the summer before a student enters grade nine to ensure that all of the NCAA requirements are met. At the very latest, students should begin the process during the summer between grade 10 and 11.

Since golf is a rather common sport, it is sponsored by many schools across the United States. There are opportunities to receive athletic scholarships for golf in NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA. The strength of your golf game combined with high school grades and SAT/ACT scores will determine what level would be best for your capabilities. NCAA Division 1 is the most competitive, and also requires the highest grades and test scores out of any of the divisions. NCAA Division 2 and NAIA are similar in their academic and athletic requirements, while NCAA Division 3 and the NJCAA have the least stringent academic and athletic requirements. Often, if an individual has weak grades but good enough game to compete at the highest level, they will start at a lower level and transfer once their grades have been improved.

Take a look at what each division requires of their student-athletes, and the opportunities available at each level:
